Trouble installing Nvidia Driver on Fedore Core 3

Hi one and all!

I'm currently having problems installing the nvidia driver under fedora core 3. Everything seems fine until I get a message stating that the nvidia kernel module has tainted the kernel. Then when I reboot, x won't load and I'm sitting at a login prompt.

The last time I had this problem, it was due to some buffer or heap or something like that which wasn't being allocated using the default kernel, so I was forced to download the source for a new one, add more buffers to it, compile it, then reinstall the nvidia driver again.

Is that the case here?

My current kernel version is 2.6.10-1.766_FC3

Any help will be appreciated!

Never mind, I found a repo that was nice enough to that a precompiled nvidia kernel model for my kernel version and using yum, it was easy as one two three!

You can really tell the difference between the standard driver and the nvidia driver. Everything is running so fast now!
