I moved my Fedora box from our corporate wan to our local ADSL line. I need to reset the network settings. Is there a "ipconfig /release&&ipconfig /renew" command? And how do I verify my network settings will configure themselves?
I installed Fedora Core 3 while on the WAN so I didn't have to mess with any of the settings. But the WAN proxy messes up yum update (Not under my control, and I could yell 'til blue in the face before anyone would even think of adjusting them). So in order to continue using Fedora I have to move the box from WAN to DSL to WAN in order to do updates. (Fedora is worth it I think)
I would like to script this whole process so I don't have a lot of time and editing to do every time I want to update.
If it's not an easy one line command, could you point me in the right search direction? I haven't found anything useful using the seach here or google.
