Login problems in FC3 (KDE)

Greetings

I am running FC3, and have problems logging in to the local host. I installed the latest stable updates (Openoffice and Xemacs) through yum, and restarted the computer afterwards. I have configured it to automatically login, but after the restart it did not login. I tried to login in manually, which resulted in an instantaneous logout (it actually doesn't finishes the login). I have tried other sessions which reacts the same way. Logging in as root reacts the same way except for one session which succeeds.

Through Grub i have tried to enter runlevel 3, from which a login succeeds. Is KDE the problem? All suggestions are highly appreciated

There might be an issue of not having enough drive-space. Can you login in the shell?
