Lightbulb Idea for new community section..

I had an idea for a Where in the world are you..

It could have a structure like:

Country:
USA:

Alaska:
Oregon:
California:

Canada:

UK:

Finland:

etc...

This way people could potentially hook up with other fedora users or start LUGs..
Just an idea, if it sucks then ok.. I just thought that it'd be cool for people to hook up and socialize (I know its really un nerd like..lol)

You mean like creating local linux user groups for each others areas but just fedora related or linux in general? If there some fedora users in LA we can get together and becomes friends and you know.....help each other with fedora.

There are tons of organized linux-user groups throughout the world. Check out the following link. For most of the countries listed, there are even more regions within of groups that meet.

starting lugs was just an example.. The main purpose behind my idea is to be able to talk to people from your own area.. For instance I saw a post yesterday from someone from Portland Oregon.. which isn't really all that close, but its cool to see that there are other linux users here besides me and Linus (He is in Beaverton)
