AFTER CONFIGURING ALL THE STUFF i opened the apollon and found the following info in it:
....................
Connection error
An unhandled error was returned when trying to open a connection with the giFT daemon, which is responsible for connecting to the various networks. The reported error was:
Operation not permitted (1)
.................................................. .....
i checked the stuff via giftd... and following was the result....

[muhammad@c199b ~]$ giftd
*** GIFT-FATAL: Failed to load interface subsystem

NOTE:
There may be another giFT daemon running on this host. Check to see if the
interface port (0) is currently in use by another process.

*** Often times more information can be found in the log file or with the -v command line switch.[muhammad@c199b ~]$ giftd -v
[15:52:03] giftd 0.11.8.1 (Feb 2 2005 03:21:06) started

Sure it's possible. We were trying to see if the firewall or port was an issue by turning it off temporarily. Make sense?
