alps touchpad

Hi

It sometimes happens that when I boot into fc3 the mouse pointer is frozen. If I reboot the computer it works again. I ran system-config-mouse, but didn't solve this weird behavior. I also have xp on my laptop. It seems that the pointer freezes only when I leave xp and boot fc3 and not when I boot all the time in fc3.

What could I do ?
Thank's.
