Lightbulb Software Freedom Day 2004

Hello all Fedora users,

You are invited to join in a global celebration of Free and Open Source Software! We are planning a global happening on August 28th this year to inform the public about the wonderful world of FOSS. We will form local teams to arrange lectures and demos and set up displays in public places to hand out printed materials and CDs with FOSS. This is a distributed marketing campaign. See: SoftwareFreedomDay.org for details.
There may already be a team in your area that you can join, or you may want to start one.

Best wishes,

Henrik

I'll be in a muddy field listening to loud music.

So, which festival is that? There will be lots of people there right?
Might that not be a good place to hand out FOSS CDs and information?
(perhaps as people leave, otherwise the stuff would just get muddy )

Wow, this looks pretty awesome. I hope it really grows over the next 5 months to make an impact (I would help if someone would start up a team in my area(I would but am not old enough)).
