KDE 3.2.1 will have to wait ... too much dep errors

I have D/L all files as usual and executed:

rpm -Uvh *.rpm

This is what I got:

error: Failed dependencies:
--libdb_cxx-4.1.so is needed by kdeaddons-3.2.1-0.1
libsensors.so.2 is needed by kdebase-3.2.1-0.1
libmusicbrainz.so.2 is needed by kdemultimedia-3.2.1-0.1
--libdb-4.1.so is needed by kdesdk-3.2.1-0.1
--libdb-4.1.so is needed by kdevelop-3.0.2-0.1
libmysqlclient.so.10 is needed by qt-MySQL-3.3.1-0.2
libodbc.so.1 is needed by qt-ODBC-3.3.1-0.2
libpq.so.3 is needed by qt-PostgreSQL-3.3.1-0.2

I have hunted down a couple of files but it seems that I'll have to spend all day solving these errors ... and in the end I maybe come up short

... better safe than sorry ... I'll have to place this project on my to-do list.

too bad...

kde 3.2.1

I have installed kde 3.2.1 and I am getting a few dep errors I have it down to this
qt-mysql
is broken because of unmet mysql in apt
qt-ODBC
is broken because of unmet unixODBC

I have found unixODBC however my computer keeps freezing when I try to install the rpm

if anyone knows how to fix this I would appreciate any help. Thanks

Michael

The best way to avoid RPM dependencies is to use yum or apt to do the dependency solving for you.

This will *almost eliminate these problems for good. Add good quality repositories to your configuration files such as Livna, fedora.us and freshrpms.

They're the three I use. Although I heard that there can be conflicts between fresh and fedora.us
