Post Epson Perfection 1250 scanner with FC2

Hi there!

I was tying to get the scanner going by following the mini HOWTO of Danile Fiser (http://daniel.fiser.cz/?go=epson1250)

/proc/bus/usb/devices contains the correct device information, but unfortunately I couldn't edit /etc/modules.conf to load the module automatically, because the is no /etc/modules.conf !!

I have even no idea what module I'm supposed to load. Wouldn't bother to do it manually.

Any idea how to get the scanner working with FC2?

Thx for your help,
André

Well,

We have the same OS and the same scanner. I am trying to make it work on FC2.
You dont really need to modify /etc/module.conf, at least at the beginning.
But yes no more /etc/module.conf in FC2.

Anyway, first manually, I did :
[root@P4 root]# modprobe scanner vendor=0x04b8 product=0x010f
FATAL: Module scanner not found.

Bad message

I try to use iscan from epkowa. This was working good in RH9.

I will give more news if I find the way to fix it.

Hey Phillipe,

a few days ago I found a solution myselfe. I pretty much followed the below mentioned howto, except for the Perfection 1250 you'll need plustek instead of snapscan.

Anyways, thanks a lot for your help!!!
