Greetings.
I don't know if yall might know anything bout this particular problem, but if you do, hopefully you can shed some light on it for me...
Apparently there is a bug reported to bugzilla regarding the ASUS line of new motherboards and their conflict with installing FC2.
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla....cgi?id=121819
It seems the ASUS mobo causes FC2 to go into a loop-reboot after installation... unfortunately I have been unable to check this out myself, yet. Still waiting on the last couple pieces of hardware I need to complete my new system. But I do already have the
ASUS P4P800-E Deluxe mobo 865i
Intel 2.8GHz Prescott 1Mb
Maxtor DiamondMax Plus 9 160GB
Samsung CD-RW
ATI Radeon 9600 XT
I also have all of the FC2 binary installation CDs (4) + the rescue CD and the new ISO-workaround to the above bug post #122 I believe. Anyways... if anyone knows anything about this particular problem or has a problem similar to this one, please give me so feedback/suggestions. I've heard different things, some say the workaround works perfectly others disagree... So let me know, thanks.
Here's the new ISO created for this particular bug, in case you were wondering...
