eth0 defaulting to inet6 instead of inet

sup guys, running a 3c905 driver with my nic card (proper)

but when running ifconfig -a it's showing inet6 addr rather than an inet addr which i t hought was supposed to be the default, how do i switch the device to use inet rather than inet6?

this i think is the problem why network/internet is not functioning correctly with this card

fixed it, if you have a 3com card that is detected but not detecting network disable kudzu and rebooted, should work fine.
