Display Issues

Hi there,

I'm posting this on behalf of a friend who is having problems with his Fedora 3 installation. When minimizing/maximizing and resizing windows, scrolling webpages, etc he is having problems getting things to display properly. Scrolling though webpages is really jittery and when opening up some programs he finds that they do not display properly and he needs to minimize then maximise or go to another program to get it to "repaint" properly. Websites seem to render properly it's just the scrolling and all that is the problem.

He is running at 1024*768 and has changed to 800*600 which made no difference.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what could be done to resolve this issue?

What kind of graphics card? Did you install linux drivers (ie..nvidia graphics card)?
I am sure someone may be able to help but more informaion is needed.

Sounds like you've already tried this, but open a terminal and enter

Code:

system-config-display

Check to see if the settings in there look right.
