Data storage solutions - need advice

I'm installing FC3 on a 20GB or 80GB disk.

I'm also getting a 200GB S-ATA disk which I'm gonna use for storing media files (under a /media directory). I'm only getting this one disk at the moment.

Requirements:
- Be able to add another disk, but still make it look like 1 disk total (not two different).

Question: How should I set this up? Using LVM, RAID etc

Any help appreciated

It seems to me that you do not have a lot of choice here (correct me somebody if this is not right). Do your MB allows to work both IDE-controllers and SATA controller simultaneously? If yes - the answer is clear - 20GB 1st IDE (/root for example), 80GB - 2nd IDE (/usr for example), SATA - 200Gb for your /media space. So, whenever you'll want to connect another HDD to your existing drives, you'll be able to do it without any problems.

Thanks for answer.

If I run out of space on the 200GB SATA driver, I'm probably gonna get another SATA drive. And then I want the two SATA drives to look like one big one.

Or maybe I could mount one disk as /media/music and another as /media/movies?
