music streaming on demand like rhapsody for linux??

Hello!

Does anyone know of a music-on-demand service, like rhapsody, musicmatch, or napster that works on linux? I had a rhapsody subscription, and I'm having trouble living without that sort of thing. Apparently nobody can get rhapsody to work with WINE, so I"m not going to bother trying.... Any suggestions for an alternative? I'd hate to have to start buying cd's again, it is such a rip off when you just rip them to your ipod, and stick 'em on a shelf...

Cheers,

n8

I'm not looking for peer to peer file sharing. I'm looking for a subscription service where I can listen to catalogued music. Rhapsody is nice because you can keep linking from one artist to their influences, and such to find new music.

I don't know if there's something like this available, but you might want to send the rhapsody guys an email asking for a solution. You will most likely be ignored, but at the very least they'll know there's some demand.

I check their site and they only support windows. Looks like you only can use it under windows.

I was having the same problem with napster, really wish it worked on here. I will e-mail them and ask if they plan on writing a linux client.

Is there any update to this problem?
