Preferred DESKTOP on FC3

Hey Gang,

I have a shared family computer running FC3. Each family member likes to work in a different DESKTOP. I know I can change the default PREFERRED desktop for the entire system in /etc/sysconfig/desktop but how to I get GDM to launch the "LAST USED DESKTOP" for each user or how can each user set their own preferred desktop without having to change it on the GDM Login GUI each time?

Thanks!

you shouldn't need to do that...
you just need to get the family member to run the switchdesk tool to configure the default desktop for the user.

on GDM - login screen - you have "Session" button - with it you choose X Session you wish to login to... when you choose one (and it is different from previous) system asks you if it is just for this session or to remember it as default for this user... you can also use switchdesk...

hmmmm, I was wondering about that. on my FC3 it does not happen like that, I've setup the default stuff nothing fancy and I don't get prompted when I switch a session like you indicate. I'll poke around and see if I can ge to the bottom of this.... thanks!
