backporting rawhide eclipse to fc3

Hi

I've been playing with the new gcj-compiled native eclipse which appeared recently in rawhide and is to be released in fc4
I downloaded and installed without any dependency problems on my fc3 system the following rawhide packages:
gcc4-4.0.0-0.19.i386.rpm
gcc4-java-4.0.0-0.19.i386.rpm
libgcj4-4.0.0-0.19.i386.rpm
libgcj4-devel-4.0.0-0.19.i386.rpm
java-1.4.2-gcj4-compat-1.4.2.0-2jpp.noarch.rpm
java-1.4.2-gcj4-compat-devel-1.4.2.0-2jpp.noarch.rpm
eclipse-ecj-3.1-0.M4.18.i386.rpm
libswt3-gtk2-3.1-0.M4.18.i386.rpm
eclipse-gtk2-3.1-0.M4.18.i386.rpm
eclipse-jdt-3.1-0.M4.18.i386.rpm
eclipse-pde-3.1-0.M4.18.i386.rpm
eclipse-source-3.1-0.M4.18.i386.rpm
eclipse-platform-3.1-0.M4.18.i386.rpm

but when I attempt to launch /usr/bin/eclipse I get a dialog that says that the VM has died with exit code 1
has anyone had better luck getting gcj-compiled eclipse to run on a fc3 box?

cheers,
darkprokoba

Sorry, just Sun VM eclipse here.

By the way, it would be nice to have at least M4 release because it handles Java 1.5 things.

I played with M3 a bit and it was starting to look good... beats the heck out of compiling with -Xlint in Netbeans... blech!

I've got it running with the RPMS that were in Rawhide on Friday morning around 9am EST. I did have to delete my current configuration though, because that was looking for a couple of different plugins.

mccabemt, can you provide a list of the RPMs you used?
I just tried with rawhide RPMs from jan 31st and I'm still getting the same error message: JVM terminated. Exit code=1
