can not read cd's

Hi

When i insert an cd in my dvd-player, i get an error message saying that i can not read the media.
Mounting / unmounting is not possible.

This is my fstab:
/dev/VolGroup00/LogVol00 / ext3 defaults 1 1
LABEL=/boot /boot ext3 defaults 1 2
none /dev/pts devpts gid=5,mode=620 0 0
none /dev/shm tmpfs defaults 0 0
none /proc proc defaults 0 0
none /sys sysfs defaults 0 0
/dev/VolGroup00/LogVol01 swap swap defaults 0 0
/dev/hdd /media/cdrom auto pamconsole,fscontext=system_u:object_r:removable_t ,exec,noauto,managed 0 0
/dev/hdb /media/cdrecorder auto pamconsole,fscontext=system_u:object_r:removable_t ,exec,noauto,managed 0 0
/dev/fd0 /media/floppy auto pamconsole,fscontext=system_u:object_r:removable_t ,exec,noauto,managed 0 0

well. for me, i run disk management.. it says that i need to contact administrator since i dont have permission to mount/unmount drives.. hmm.. i wonder how's this goin to be fixed...

make sure you've updated udev (up2date udev) as the first thing to try.

me.. i tried updating udev.. still, there's no change.

i found the solution.

Make sure kscd is in the system tray. Configure it. Insert an audio CD
and voilla....... it works

Well, of course you cannot mount audio cd's, because they haven't got a filesystem.
