I have a small Windows 2003 server at home that I want to junk (left over from a network class) and replace with Fedora Core 3. One of the best things about the server now is that it's headless, but still allows me to get into it via Remote Desktop as I have a few programs that are GUI that I like to run all the time (a telnet program and mail, at least).
What I want to do is do the same thing in Fedora Core 3, with the security. I have looked at X11 forwarding, VNC, and freeNX (which seems costly for the server).
Anyone have any links or websites that show Linux with a setup like this? It comes in really handy, especially when you need more an ssh shell.
