Hi

,
I'm installing Core-3 on a dual-boot (hopefully!) machine, and the
installer keeps hanging at the following line:
"running /sbin/loader"
I have tried all the options suggested in the installer help screens, and any additional ones that seemed relevant from Dog-One's excellent FAQ, including:
lowres, nofb, noprobe, nousb, acpi=off, skipddc, and nofirewire
I also tried the rescue mode. All to no avail

. I checked the MD5 sums for all the ISO's and they're ok.
I have a Compaq Deskpro EN, with a Pentium III at 733 MHz, and 448 MB
RAM, running XP on the first partition.
I would really appreciate any help in getting the install going. I need to get Mono and DotGnu under Linux up and running ASAP, or else I'll be forced to start development on .NET/XP.
Many thanks

,
