xine doesn't play vcd

xine and mplayer do not want to play vcds. I have installed codecs in /usr/lib/win32, the path is visible for the applications but the situation is the same.

The only change is that xine plays a kind of trailer (not a film I want to to see) from the vcd but stops in a few seconds.

Does anyone can help ?
