I'm trying to set up the internet on Fedora Core 2 using a CDMA wireless phone, connected using a USB cable. The phone service has provided a script which connects and configures everything.
The script works, it connects and the phone also connects to the 3G network. But I can't ping anything, nor does the browser work. ifconfig shows the ip address first for the eth0 which is off while the phone is connected, and below that it shows the correct configuration for device ppp0.
What do I need to do to make the internet work? What I could think was that the system doesn't know where the modem is located, maybe it looks for eth0.
