Touchpad scroll problem in FC3

Hello

I can't get scrollwheel to work on touchpad! OS: FC3 (Asplinux-10, based on FC3, Notebook: Fujitsu Siemens P7010

First, I tryed basic system settings, in system-config-mouse I choose syanptics. Scrollwheel didn't work. Then I corrected Xorg.conf:

----------------------------------------------
Section "ServerLayout"
Identifier "single head configuration"
Screen 0 "Screen0" 0 0
InputDevice "Mouse0" "CorePointer"
InputDevice "Keyboard0" "CoreKeyboard"
InputDevice "Synaptics" "AlwaysCore"
EndSection

Section "Module"
Load "dbe"
Load "extmod"
Load "fbdevhw"
Load "glx"
Load "record"
Load "freetype"
Load "type1"
Load "synaptics"
Load "dri"
EndSection

Section "InputDevice"
Identifier "Synaptics"
Driver "synaptics"
Option "Device" "/dev/psaux"
Option "Protocol" "auto-dev"
Option "UpDownScrolling" "on"
Option "LeftEdge" "1700"
Option "RightEdge" "5300"
Option "TopEdge" "1700"
Option "BottomEdge" "4200"
Option "FingerLow" "25"
Option "FingerHigh" "30"
Option "MaxTapTime" "180"
Option "MaxTapMove" "220"
Option "VertScrollDelta" "100"
Option "MinSpeed" "0.09"
Option "MaxSpeed" "0.18"
Option "AccelFactor" "0.0015"
Option "SHMConfig" "on"
Option "Emulate3Buttons" "yes"
# Option "Repeater" "/dev/ps2mouse"
EndSection
----------------------------------------------

I Also tryed to set different kernel parametres in grub.conf but still no luck. Touchpad works great, I also compiled Qsynaptics (ksynaptics) and was able to change sensitivity in GUI, but SCROLL still didn't work!
Compiling the latest synaptic_drv.o, but still no result.

I think, there are some tricks with fedora, maybe problem is in my kernel (2.6.9-1.681).

Need help!
Thanks

FC3 distribution comes with the Synaptics Touchpad driver. For installation instructions, see the INSTALL file at /usr/share/doc/synaptics-0.13.5/INSTALL.

Good luck!!!

I have it all working fine. Here are my settings... I wonder if the /dev/input/mice is the important difference? Could be something to do with udev in FC3???

Section "InputDevice"
Identifier "Synaptics"
Driver "synaptics"
Option "Device" "/dev/input/mice"
Option "Protocol" "auto-dev"
Option "LeftEdge" "1700"
Option "RightEdge" "5400"
Option "TopEdge" "1700"
Option "BottomEdge" "4450"
Option "FingerLow" "25"
Option "FingerHigh" "30"
Option "MaxTapTime" "180"
Option "MaxTapMove" "220"
Option "VertScrollDelta" "100"
Option "MinSpeed" "0.07"
Option "MaxSpeed" "0.11"
Option "AccelFactor" "0.0010"
Option "Emulate3Buttons" "yes"
EndSection

I think it is.

I have a IBM ThinkPad T41, the touchpad works right after FC3 installation, so I did not really go through the instructions.

Here are my settings.

Section "InputDevice"
Identifier "Synaptics"
Driver "synaptics"
Option "Device" "/dev/input/mice"
Option "Protocol" "auto-dev"
Option "Emulate3Buttons" "yes"
Option "SHMConfig" "on"
EndSection

The scroll on my touchpad does not work either. I believe this to be because my touchpad is actually and ALPS touchpad and its support is not compiled into the kernel as per the synaptics driver instructions. I have not had the time or need to try this yet but maybe you do?
