Anyone use the extra shortcut buttons on your keyboard?

What I mean is those "multimedia buttons" or "Office buttons", for you to press just one hardware button to launch web browser, email clients, skip to next song, adjust volume, etc.

As I know there's something called "ACME" to do this in Gnome, and it seems to be integrated to Gnome.
With a fresh FC3, all these shortcut buttons work so fine, but when more software are installed to system and some system customizations are made, most of those buttons are not working, except 4 for controlling Rhythmbox: Play/pause, Stop, Next, Previous

I can't find any related topics or documents about fixing this, so if anyone have the same situation as mine please come to discuss.

well i tried configuring some short cuts - bt it was restricted to the normal keyboard and even the windows icon key but not those exra buttons above

further it works well, but i had to undo some extra buttons because many software had uses of those same buttons which caused a conflict and the new settings over rode the programme ones. so i think its better to plac an icon of the programme into the tool panel below and use only those buttons that have no use

like i use the windows button for my sleep mode and the menu button to launchmy email

regards

Acme works for me on FC2. I really only have volume keys, however.
