Errors in boot.log
Jan 4 15:01:34 berlab02003 portmap: ERROR: ld.so: object '/etc/libcwait.so' from /etc/ld.so.preload cannot be preloaded: ignored.

Any ideas on what is causing this error in the boot.log and messages.log file ?

Uh, I don't have an /etc/ld.so.preload and man ldconfig doesn't mention anything about it. I've also never heard of an .so file being found in /etc - they've all been moved to library directories. What's in the file /etc/ld.so.conf?

Yes, you are trying to run/install Oracle, and applied their patch.

But SELinux is complaining because it's not in a "security context". (you might try moving it to "/usr/lib" and update the path in your "/etc/ld.so.preload" appropriately, then run "ldconfig" and just to be safe, reboot.
