Question FC-3,,,MONitor/SHUT DOWN troubles

NEW TO THIS,,have 2 hard drives,,one with xp and one with fc-3,,which i just installed with a friend with his DIGITAL monitor,,that was cool bootloader gave me the preferences for fc and xp at boot up,,,THEN
,,,came home pluged it all up,(with my crt monitor,,all the rest was the same ),,boot loader comes up cool,,then works in xp,,,when reboot and choose fedora ,,cool starts going there then the monitor turns off,,AND says press y for more preferences,,,(so i think its my crt monitor)have some options in the bootloader,,should i try to fix,,or do i HAVE TO REINSTALL fedora,,,,(i hope not)linux must be picky with the change of monitors,,it starts to load in the black and white screen then the monitor turns off?,,,,,but it is totally cool in xp,,,,i think i can change the settings in the bootloader,it offers the option of edit kernal and bash and press E and B for boot,,,can u HELP me please ,,,,i think i should be able to fix it without reINSTALL
thanx all

For better help please post only once. Not 3 times on the same forum in different areas. This helps out so you are not going 3 different ways and getting the correct answer faster.
