Fedora Core 2 System: Need to have it display 'Fedora Core 1' though.

Hi All,

How can I make my Fedora 2 installation lie and report that it is a Fedora 1 installation when in fact it is not? I need to have it say 'Fedora Core 1' anywhere it says 'Fedora Core 2'.

Thank You,
Devyn

I have no idea what EVIL you are up to, but any sysadmin is bound to notice that all the repositories are set to FC2. Don't think there's a way around that one unless you want to contstantly switch everything on a daily basis.

The file /etc/fedora-release contains the release information. Change it to Fedora Core release 1 (Yarrow). Note that all the installed rpms are FC2 versions, though.
