Combine email in Outlook express with an email-client in Linux

I want to access my email from Linux and Windows. Currently, all my emails are stored in the Outlook Express-format. I wondred if there are any email-clients for Linux who reads and writes with the OE-format, so I can download email and watch them from both OS's.
Thanks!

You can try reading the outlook-mails with Evolution, default installed with Fedora.

Tip: Use NTFS to store the mailbox, so you can access it from both Fedora and Windows.

I'll try. I've heard that the NTFS-support in Linux aren't so good that it should be used to write, only read. Maybe I am wrong?

Are you sure Evolution have support for read and write to .dbx-files (OE 6 email-boxes)? I tried to import one of the .dbx-files, but it didn't work.

Yes ntfs is read only.

There may be OE converters, but I don't know of anything that just reads Outlook's database.

You may be able to get around this with some kind of IMAP server storing the mail.

I Just thought that I can use Thunderbird in both OS's! Then I see my problem as solved.
