    Video Encoding Bitrates

    Heyas

    Kind of a Video-Wibble, as i'm just curious what are your (most) prefered video encoding bitrates.
    A video comes with an audio and video stream, and to me at least, the bitrates vary upon the dimension/resolution of the video.

    Code:
    Desc	Resolution	Audio  Video
    ------------------------------------
    * clip	320x240 	a128 v256
    * vhs	640x480 	a128 v384
    * dvd	720x576 	a192 v512
    * hdr	1280x720	a192 v768
    * fhd 	1920x1280	a256 v1024
    So this is about the average i'm using on my videos, and i'm interested in yours.
    Cheers

    Re: Video Encoding Bitrates

    I'm currently processing a 720x576 video just using ffmpeg defaults (using libx264) and its running at just under 1Mbits/sec.

    I have many ideas, even some I haven't thought of yet.
