How do I set up fc3 to accept connections from PC on NFS, and keep iptables running?

I'm running two computers connected via NFS and a switch.
They both have static IP-adresses.
The desktop is sharing some folders (/home + some storage-folders) with the laptop. The laptop can have iptables running as normal, bacuse it doesn't share anything with the other.
They are both connected to internet via the switch and dsl-router.

I would like to set iptables for the desktop to accept the laptop, but have a higher level of security in all other instances.

More accurately, I'd like to have my firewall enabled on the server, while accepting my laptop's connections.

Any help would be nice!

there was a topic similar to that... problem is NFS uses few ports and one of them is not static - you need to make it static (on server and client side) an then allow it on firewall... alternatively you can just trust any traffic from given host (your notebook).
