dhcp client info

In earlier versions of Redhat when I was assigned a dynamic IP from my service provider the file /etc/dhcpc/dhcpcd-eth0.info was created with a lot of useful variables. The file was in the form of IPADDR=X.X.X.X. I use to source that file to get the IP that was assigned by my ISP and use that variable in my firewall rules. I can't seem to find anything like it in Fedora Core2. Is there such a thing anymore?

You can try /var/lib/dhcp/dhclient-eth0.leases I am not sure if that is exactly what you are looking for, but you can give it a try.

I already looked at the leases file and it is not quite the same thing. I guess I don't want to have to write a routine to parse the info.

How about /sbin/ifconfig?
