HP Notebook w/ ATI?

I just got a new HP notebook with ATI Radion Mobility 9100 IGP. Is it ok to install the ATO graphics drivers on the notebook? I am not sure if they work with the IGP cards?

Is there a how to? I have never installed or been an ATI fan on Linux but I am kind of forced to be now since its integrated.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Yes, I am now using the generic drivers and they are just that, ok. I was hoping the ATI will look some what sharper and fuller.
