FC2 and RealPlayer: no volume adjustment

My FC2 installation has RealPlayer 10Gold on it and
it's getting webstreams ok.

However, no webstream can be adjusted for volume
or EQ.

What is necessary to install to get volume control and
EQ in the manner of Winamp or mmx? I do not know of
anyway to redirect a webstream into other prog.s such as
mmx.

I have checked the main volume setup on FC2 under
Gnome. Nothing is locked or set to zero. And yet, th e
RealPlayer volume slider has no adjustment.

Please advise of any libraries or dependencies etc etc
to get this control working.
