    Fedora 18 and qtcurve-gtk2

Maybe someone else using KDE in Fedora 18 could try this and see if they experience the same problem I've had.

In KDE, with the QtCurve widget style applied to GTK apps, hover images are 'scrambled.' That's just a minor annoyance, but this also causes Firefox to crash every time it's closed.

The auto-generated bug report text doesn't really tell me much. It's definitely not due to add-ons because it also happens when they're all disabled. With any widget style other than QtCurve, there's no problem.

    Anyone else experienced this?

Yep, I have the same issue. I'd love to find a solution.

EDIT: I updated to latest qtcurve (from the kde-look.org site) and still experience the issue. The graphical glitches around menus however are gone.

    Re: Fedora 18 and qtcurve-gtk2

Just for reference - I had exactly the same problems - and i found this entries - all seems to be fixed right now - if the latest updates are installed (firefox) and if qtcurve-gtk2 is being used from the latest rawhide release.

I think Fedora should update the package now.

    Thanks for the update.

Yes, the qtcurve-gtk2 package from rawhide solves the problem for me as well.

To anyone interested, the specific steps I took were -

    Code:
    # yum install fedora-release-rawhide
    # yum --enablerepo rawhide install qtcurve-gtk2
*** NOTE for the uninitiated: The second command (yum --enablerepo...) keeps 'fedora-rawhide.repo' disabled and only installs the qtcurve-gtk2 package from rawhide.
