yum, apt up2date ???

ok, so I would like to keep my system up-to-date, but
which tool should I use ?
I have seen quite some discussions on yum and apt, but
can't figure out which one is better or more appropriate
for me.
So I personally really like redhats up2date, as it gives
me a nice gui and allows me to select which updates I
want from a list. Having only a 128kbit connection to the
net, I can not afford to even attempt to download all
updates, but try to select the once I think I need ...

Anyway, any unbiased overview/comparisons/recommendations ?

Thanks !
rudi

Up2date is probably the easiest too, just click, click and done. Now if you want to use yum you need to setup the repos for fc3 :http://www.fedoraforum.org/forum/showthread.php?t=27279

the connection has nothing to do dialup will be slow and dsl will do better...
