Angry Graphics issues

When I tried to install Fedora 17 Gnome 64 bit and loaded Catalyst (AMD/Radeon/ATI) graphics drivers from the add software and rebooted I had an unusable desktop. Is there a work around for this? I would like to go back to Fedora as I am getting fed up with Ubuntu based distributions.
Thank you in advance for the assistance.

Re: Graphics issues

What kind of graphics chip do you have?

The current Catalyst driver only supports chips from the HD5000, HD6000 or HD7000 series.

Try using Dave's Autoplus program, that worked for me:
Code:
su -c "rpm -Uvh http://autoten.co.uk/autoten/autoten-1.4-6.noarch.rpm"
More info here.

EDIT: Whoops, forgot that the link above is actually for an old version of autoplus, I'll try and find the latest....
