No packages available

Hello,

I have been trying to do some simple graphics programming... So trying to install graphics.h ... Read from many forums that other packages like

libsdl-image1.2 libsdl-image1.2-dev guile-1.8 guile-1.8-dev libsdl1.2debian-all libart-2.0-dev libaudiofile-dev libesd0-dev libdirectfb-dev libdirectfb-extra libfreetype6-dev libxext-dev x11proto-xext-dev libfreetype6 libaa1 libaa1-dev libslang2-dev libasound2 libasound2-dev

have to be installed.... but wen i give yum install, it says "package not available".... am new to fedora.... pls help me... Thanks in advance

Here is what you need to install for some of those packages.

SDL_image
SDL_image-devel
guile
guile-devel
libart_lgpl
libart_lgpl-devel
audiofile
audiofile-devel
directfb
directfb-devel
freetype
freetype-devel

The list you have is for Debian packages, which are packaged and named differently than Fedora packages.

Some of the packages are probably already installed, like freetype.

the packages are all installed.... Thanks... But there is a prob with libgraph 1.0.2...... error when i give ./configure

error: C++ preprocessor "/lib/cpp" fails sanity check

I guess you are not using yum to install packages.
