cron job on fedora 15 running on laptop

I have a cron job (retriving information from internet on 11:59PM daily) running an fedora 15 on my laptop machine, however, after couple minutes, the system goes to sleep so the wireless connection is off and the cron job never runs.

What should I do for this case?

Re: cron job on fedora 15 running on laptop

I guess, you have to wake up ur system to run the cron job. Have a look at here http://www.osnews.com/story/24111/Wa...for_a_Cron_Job to know how to wake up your system from sleep!

Regards,
Anish
