Hi,
My MainBoard is Gigabyete G41MT-S2P. It has Intel G41 Express Chipset for Graphics. My OS is Fedora Core 17 64 bit.
The problem is it seems the OS is using a basic video driver, display flickers and mouse cursors blinks, noticeable because it seems the system is performing slow. I think it is not using the GPU of the motherboard for graphics acceleration.
Also my monitor is SAMSUNG SyncMaster B2230 which has resolution: 1920x1080. But Display Settings never seem to detect the monitor and showing it as "unknown". It is using 1600x1200 resolution which is kind of stays in the middle of the display and rather uncomfortable. Please have a look at the screenshot.
Does Fedor Core 17 64bit has default media accelerator? Or Should I install one from inter linux site? Why doesn't it recognize my monitor model?
Can you please recommend me a way to solve this problem?
Regards.
Atique
