¡Hola!
Trying to install FC3 on a (fairly antique) desktop PC using the "text" inferface the process of "preparing packages to install" and "copying packages" abruptly gets disrupted by a shutdown process (its console output clobbers the progressbar's graphics) followed by a reboot of the machine. It's difficult to catch the exact moment the shutdown takes place; no stage2, initrd, kernel can be encountered on the target FSm though. Any hints what may be triggering this trouble and how to circumvent it?
P54C, Gigabyte GA-586VX (i430VX) MoBo, Award BIOS 4.51PG (2.9xa2), 64MB RAM, Matrox Mystique
Installed on an Ext3-FS in an extended partition on a 2nd IDE-HDD, using
BootItNG in MBR delegating to GRUB (in theory -- it never gets so far, though)
I appreciate your attention,
