FIB forwarding information base route table ?

Hello, I have attached a routing table from Quagga.
I do not understand what the asterisked FIB labels represent ?
Why are some routes duplicated in that one entry has an FIB asterisk identifier and one without ?

Thanks for any clarification on how FIB works here.
