cups doesn't allow printer to be removed

error dialog:

clicked on printer...selected "remove"

There was an error during the CUPS operation: 'cups-authorization-canceled'.

the printer is not connected...it is back at Office Depot

connected another printer and installed it...it works great...installed itself

NOW THIS is what I expect from Fedora

stay away from HP cheap printers

Just bought a brother $50 printer...works so far

Re: cups doesn't allow printer to be removed

sudo lpadmin -x <printername--found by looking at /etc/cups/printers.conf> should usually remove a printer.

the following worked:
lpadmin -x Brother-MFC-J430W

thanks!

Win 7 and HP dropped support for my Deskjet 990CSE

but XP Prof and Fedora still support it

Fedora 17 does not install the Brother-MFC-J430W
