[SOLVED] zenity package conflict errors upon update

Hi,

I took my morning 'yum -y update' today and was met with an update of a 'zenity.i368' package from fedorautils repository (followed by 44 .i686 dependent packages).

My system is Fedora 17 x86_64, and I seem to have the latest 'zenity.x86_64 package' already installed.

Is this a temporary problem perhaps, or do I need to do something? I don't like my yum littered.

Don't install any fake i368 packages ;-)

What exactly does it say?

Just wait a couple of hours and see if the problem fixes itself.

Installing the patched version didn't fix this. We'll see in a few hours if it persists or not.

What the heck is fedorautils?

They are causing this problem, because fedora only has 3.4.0-1.fc17 and now yum is trying to "upgrade" to a 3.4.0-3 version which yum thinks is newer, but fedorautils doesn't offer a 64 bit version?

Solved. I removed fedorautils and performed the following command, but I'm not sure if that is what solved it:

su -c "curl http://master.dl.sourceforge.net/project/fedorautils/fedorautils.repo -o /etc/yum.repos.d/fedorautils.repo && yum install fedorautils"

yum --disablerepo=fedorautils update

would've done the trick too ;-)
