I can't join LinuxCNC.org

Using FC 17 and Firefox, I can't register at LinuxCNC.org because I never pass the captcha. I don't see any provision on their website for asking them about this. If any fedoraforum member happens to be a LinuxCNC.org member, I'd appreciate some advice. (Also tell them that their catpcha display doesn't distinguish between lower case Q's and G's )

I looked up this problem on support.mozilla.org. It said to use Tools and clear recent browsing history to remove old cookies and then start the computer in safe mode. Well, I'm lucky that clearing recent browsing history fixed the problem because I don't know how to start Fedora in the safe mode.

Glad that your problem is solved. About the safe mode, from a terminal

 firefox -safe-mode

will launch firefox in safe mode. There will be some options to exercise when starting safe mode (like disabling addons, clearing history, etc.).

There is an extension available for Firefox which makes such things easier, and is pretty handy for web development , too.

Oh, it's firefox that get's started in the safe mode and not "the computer". That's a relief. I feared mozilla.org was windows-centric.
