Maximum brightness level after resume

I'm using Fedora 17 KDE 4.8.4 and have the following issue. When laptop resumes, brightness is set on maximum level even work on battery. Is there any fix for this problem?

Probably not. Ever since around f14 time Fedora and/or the linux kernel has been unable to provide usable brightness support for any of my mainstream laptops (Toshiba, Dell). It's very annoying and the brightness problem has been going on for so long I've given up hope of any fix every showing up.

I just end up booting into and using windows a lot more on these laptops so I don't end up with terminal eyestrain.

kernel option will be useful for you?

In my case, I believe there is a solution, due to I have no problem with, for example, Kubuntu. Yesterday, I've even tried to update to KDE 4.8.5 from testing-updates repository, but the problem still with me.
