open the relevant link with your browser and open with your default package manager, or go to the source pages and learn how to build / compile rpms from source. Those pacages are from circa 2009 are they still relevant?

Out of interest are you using the Fedora Scientific Spin /distro ?

Re: CERNLIB Installation

Actually these files are from 2006. Can you install the version from Fedora 16?
Code:
yum --releasever=16 install cernlib
which should install the cernlib from Fedora 14 and xbae from Fedora 15.

Or maybe you should install the Fedora 17 version of xbae first
Code:
yum install xbae

cernlib installation problem

when installing Comphep (Event Generator for High Energy Physics) and using

$./configure

i get the following error

Checking CERNlibs...
Warning: the configure script does not find CERN libraries.
You can not use MSSM models.
If you sure that your system contains the cernlib package,
change path name to cernlib (a variable CERNLIB at the
beginning of the configure script).

can you help me ?

Re: cernlib installation problem

Try

Code:
yum install cernlib cernlib-devel
If you're using Fedora 17 you might have to get these from the Fedora 16 repository

Code:
yum --releasever=16 install cernlib cernlib-devel
