Ok had to start of with the title of one of the best albums of all time because it sums up my problem quite well.
I am running Fedora 17, with the Mate Desktop.
I fired it up today and everything went perfect until I fired up Second Life. Second Life is blue. It's lost all other colours (apart from black) - there's no green, no red.
But what is strange here is that if the top application on a desktop, everything on that desktop is blue, but if another app is running in the foreground, it looks normal. Trouble is, screenshots look normal otherwise I'd post one here.
I am not sure if this is related but I did do a "yum clean all" earlier as recommended in the MATE thread, and now get the following error:
but when I tried to reinstall them from the RPM fusion site it doesn't want to know.
Is this a graphics problem? (nVidia 9800GT - with drivers installed as per Leigh's Guides and no probelms at all previously) or something more serious? I don't think it can be a Second Life issue because I've tried it with different viewers (Singularity and the Official Viewer) but on the other hand have I somehow knocked out something that gives the other colours?
Anyhow, I'm very bemused and any advice would be welcome. Thanks
