Canon CAPT Driver LBP 3300 Fedora 17

hey, I am trying to get my Canon printer (LBP 3300) working with Fedora 17. I installed the CAPT Driver for Linux according this instructions

According to the log files all works perfectly but the printer does not print.
so this is what I get when I print a page (/var/log/cups/error_log):

As far as I can see all should be fine and the printer should have printed something. But it does not.

Any suggestion or success stories with a working LBP3300 on Fedora 17?

edit: I'm using the 32bit version of Fedora.

I had to install ghostscript (and installed a2ps as well).

I have run into problems with libtiff, libpng, and libjpeg with my Canon Printer (different model). I suggest you do the following to find your error.

I've been told that the Gutenprint drivers should work with Canon printers (in-leu-of the Canon drivers) (at least in Mageia Linux), but I have not verified that for myself.

Arch Linux works a little different than Fedora, but perhaps you can glean something useful from the following thread as well.
