Mousepad cursor stops moving when reaching boundaries

Hi there,

I never had a laptop before so probably this is a dumb question:

When want to drag a item around using the mousepad the cursor stops moving when I reach the mousepad boundaries. Is there a way to get the mouse-cursor keep moving in the boundary direction?
