Getting flash player to work.

Hello,

I just installed Fedora 17 and my flash player won't work with pogo.com using Firefox. When it tries to load a game it will just sit there doing nothing, and everynow and then will tell me my flash player is out of date, but it is not. I have used the Firefox checker for your plugins and it is up to date.

The flash player will work fine with youtube.com, it is just pogo it won't work on. The java games will work with no problems on pogo as well.

Could anyone please help me fix this problem?

Thanks

Re: Getting flash player to work.

pogo.com seems to work for me (I just chose random games). What version of flash are you using? Mine is

Code:
Shockwave Flash

    File: libflashplayer.so
    Version:
    Shockwave Flash 11.2 r202
Did you try another browser?

Re: Getting flash player to work.

I downloaded the Adobe .rpm and installed it. After a reboot, I went into yumex and did a search for flash. I then selected & installed the Adobe package "flash-plugin". I may have again rebooted, but it worked after that.

Re: Getting flash player to work.

So, essentially re-installing flash worked.

Re: Getting flash player to work.

Essentially - from what I can gather, in it's attempt to install flash, it does succeed in installing the repo - and from there, installing THAT version works.

Where did you get that version of Flash?

Adobe has stated that 11.2 will be the last version it puts out for linux.

But I had issues with Flash for awhile and determined that totem was taking over and trying to play flash instead of the adobe flash-plugin.

Fixed it by removing totem-mozplugin and totem-mozplugin-vegas

Re: Getting flash player to work.

I have had also problems with flash-plugin 11.2.202.235.x86_64 not working properly on some sites.

I re-installed flash-plugin-11.0.1.129-1.x86_64 from http://www.linux-ati-drivers.homecall.co.uk/ and it works fine.

I have just checked pogo.com using Firefox 13.0.1 or Midori 0.4.6.
It is OK.

I guess it's the included version in Chrome.
