[solved] enable lightdm at system boot? F17 minimal install

I've been using Fedora off and on for a while now, but I've never tried a minimal installation before. I used the DVD, selected minimal, created a user, installed Xorg and Xfce and lightdm but lightdm doesn't start at boot. How can I get it to? I've done minimal installs a bunch of times on Arch Linux, but unlike Arch there isn't a whole lot of documentation or guides for Fedora. I also can't get startx to work even though I've installed the consolekit and xorg-xinit packages.

If there's any other information you need please let me know

You need to give more information than just "I can't get startx to work" if you expect others to help you figure out what's wrong.

What error messages did you get? Did you install a window manager and create a ~/.xinitrc file that starts that window manager? I posted a few weeks ago on how to get a barebones working X on a minimal install: http://forums.fedoraforum.org/showpo...85&postcount=5

I already got startx working (that was just a silly user error on my part) and secipolla's tip got lightdm working as well. Thread solved.
